CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE “NO SHOW” AGAIN
Sudbury –Carol Hartman, Liberal Candidate for Sudbury lead the way last night at the Social Planning Council debate that took place at Sudbury Secondary School. Hartman’s message of investing in education, healthcare and families instead of irresponsible corporate tax cuts and billions on jets was well received by the participants.
Hartman reminded attendees that Jack Layton and the NDP were responsible for the elimination of the National Daycare program when they brought down the Liberal government in 2006. “People are getting tired of talk, they want action and only a Liberal government can get things done” she said.
“I won’t miss any debates, any interviews or avoid any questions” said Hartman when referencing the absence of the Conservative candidate. “My Conservative opponent has mislead Sudbury voters by telling them the Corporate Tax Cuts will apply to small business when he knows very well it does not. He doesn’t want to face me in a debate or answer questions from the voters of Sudbury. I think that should let people know something about how he will represent them if he’s elected.” Hartman concluded.
